Mychelle has a long communications background working as an editor, writer, and social media expert.

Her particular niche is companion animals, although she can write for a variety of topics such as social media and web technology. She has been a writer for PetHealthNetwork.com, specializing in cat and dog behavior, since 2004. She regularly writes for LoveToKnow.com and has written for OnlyInYourState.com and BlogMutt. She also served for many years as editor for both the International Association of Animal Behavior Professionals and Association of Professional Dog Trainers’ journals, as well as working for several years for the APDT on communications, social media and web management. Currently she serves as the Web News and Social Media Content Editor for the United States Dog Agility Association and as the Online Course Manager and conference/journal web mistress for the IAABC.

She holds a Masters of Social Welfare from UCLA and a BA in Political Science from New York University, and recently completed a 12 week intensive bootcamp program in front end engineering at the Iron Yard. She has her own business providing web design and development as well as social media services. Mychelle lives in Las Vegas, NV with her husband Jake and three dogs (Kaylee, Jack and Odin), two fish (Ornstein and Smough) and a very cranky bird (Bird).
